PROFESSIONAL NURSE SPECIALITY GRADE1(ADVANCED MIDWIFERY AND NEONATAL NURSING) PNB1: READVERTISEMENT

Requirements: Basic qualification accredited with South African Nursing Council in terms of Government Notice 425 i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing as a professional nurse or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a professional Nurse and a Diploma in midwifery. Post-Basic Nursing qualification with a duration of at least 1 year, accredited with SANC in terms of Government Notice No. R212/R635 in the specialized area (Midwifery). A minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognizable experience in Nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.Competencies: Leadership, Management and Communication skills. Ability to take charge, leading the shifts and mentor midwives in the unit. Display concern for patients, promoting and advocating proper treatment and care including awareness and willingness to respond to patient’s needs, requirements and expectations (Batho Pele Principles).
