Eduvos is looking to employ a Maintenance Handyman on a permanent basis at any of our Pretoria campus.

Type of role:
Permanent

Purpose of the role:
To ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance takes place timeously.

Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12; Technical Certificate will be an advantage
  • Technical certifications in maintenance or a related field
  • Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical work and general maintenance practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and  equipment, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting  tasks.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address issues in a  timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and resolve maintenance issues before they escalate. Quality & quantity control of the assets on site.
  • Install and repair fixtures and appliances, such as sinks, lights, fans, and doors.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and adhere to safety protocols when using machinery and tools.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other maintenance staff on larger repair projects.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed.
  • Assist with landscaping and exterior maintenance as needed
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
  • Act as designated driver based on campus requirements, including but not limited to after hours and weekends
