Head of Clinical Unit

Requirements: Appropriate qualifications that allow registration with HPCSA as Medical Specialist in a normal speciality or in recognized Sub-Speciality. HPCSA registration as Medical Specialistin a normal speciality or in a recognized Sub-Speciality. A minimum of 3 years appropriate experience as a Medical Specialist after registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in a normal speciality or a recognized Sub-Speciality. The following will be added advantage:A minimum of 5 years’appropriate experience as a specialist Vascular surgeon. Documented experience in performing Vascular surgery procedures, teaching of pre- and post-graduate students, supervision of students doing Phd, MMed or MSc, at least 5 publications in peer-reviewed DHET-accredited journals and management skills. Acompleted Phd. Knowledge and Skills: Assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with vascular-related conditions. Teaching, training and supervision of pre-and post-graduate students. Understanding of of basic Human Resoutce matters, including performance appraisal and, monitoring and management of Remunerative Work Outside Public Service ( RWOPS).
