About the jobPOSITION: Programme interns for Mahlathini Development Foundation, based in Hoedspruit, Limpopo DURATION: 12 Months, renewable START DATE: 6th July 2026 REMUNERATION: Market-related stipend, with office and field support   Mahlathini Development Foundation (MDF) is a South African non-profit organisation that works with rural communities to promote climate-resilient agriculture, sustainable natural resource management, and participatory development. Through the SODI-CARES programme (2026–2029), MDF supports communities across Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal, and Mpumalanga in strengthening livelihoods, improving food security, and building resilience to climate and environmental challenges.   The internship is based in Limpopo and Mpumalanga, and involves supporting community learning groups, farmer experimentation, water and land management activities, women and youth empowerment initiatives, disaster risk reduction processes, and Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs). The intern will assist with workshops, field monitoring, data collection, documentation, and community engagement while working closely with MDF facilitators and local stakeholders.
